Here’s what’s new in Rock’s GitHub for Pre-Alpha Release 18.0.7, released on 6/3/2025.

17.1 Highlights

  • Added support for animated GIFs under 10 MB.
  • Issue 5920 Fixed a bug in the Family Analytics Job that was incorrectly removing Family Analytics attribute values from inactive individuals.
  • Issue 6030 Fixed a bug where system jobs were running twice during Rock's nightly restart.
  • Issue 6293 Fixed a bug in the Communication List Subscribe block where campus filtering was not applied, even though the campus context was enabled in the block settings.
  • Issue 6299 Fixed a bug where the "----------" divider in the country drop-down could be selected, allowing invalid addresses to be submitted.
  • Issue 6306 Fixed a bug in the Next-Gen Check-in Label Designer where rotated fields did not adjust correctly, limiting editing functionality.
  • Issue 6316 Fixed a bug in v17.0 where <style> tags were removed from email templates, causing styling and rendering issues on mobile devices.
  • Issue 6318 Fixed a bug in the Obsidian Communication Entry Wizard that prevented Communication Lists with duplicate archived group members from displaying recipients or being selectable.

17.2 Highlights

  • Added support for Apple Pay and Google Pay as payment methods within hosted-type financial gateways, including the option to store them as saved accounts.
  • Updated the Giving Type Context Picker to use the ‘IdKey’ instead of ‘Person Id’ for identifying a person or business.
  • Issue 6152 Fixed a bug in the Connection Opportunity Select block where a <br> tag appeared on the idle badge if multiple "Days Until Request Considered Idle" values existed across connection types.
  • Issue 6318 Fixed a bug in the Next-Gen Check-In kiosk where the Check-in Manager button appeared even when the option was disabled in the check-in configuration template.

18.0 Highlights

  • Added the new ‘Set Culture’ Lava command to define the local culture context for formatting dates, time, currency, and more.
