If you are the Rock admin at your church, you know the feeling. A new release drops, you mean to install it, but there are reports to run, registrations to build, and a check-in issue that just came in. So it waits. Somehow it's months later you are several versions behind. Rock is not a SaaS platform. Spark does not push updates for you. That responsibility sits with your church, and the stakes are rising. The Rock team has been candid about this on recent Rock Cast episodes. Today, keeping up-to-date is critical for security. AI is accelerating how fast vulnerabilities in older software get exploited. Keeping up has always mattered. It matters more now.

That is why we built Update Buddies.

What Update Buddies Is

Update Buddies is a notification service from Triumph Tech for churches that want help staying current on Rock. When a new version ships, we notify you. If you want us to handle it, we schedule a window, run the update, and confirm everything came back up correctly. You are only charged when we do the work.

Managed by our expert Rock Cloud team, every update includes a full snapshot before we start. If something goes sideways, we roll back to the version you were on and send a written issue report.

What This Means for Your Church

You stay on the latest secured Rock release. No more falling three or four releases behind. Every release, on a schedule that works for your week.

You skip the dread. We do the work, watch the install, and confirm it succeeded before we walk away.

You have a fallback. If an update fails, we roll it back to the version you were on and document what happened. You are not left holding a broken site.

You get a starting map. At your first update, we build an infrastructure map of your environment if you do not already have one. That document belongs to you.

What Is Included

Each version update costs $300, invoiced when it's complete. This covers one Rock instance in a non-clustered Azure environment.

This is not a full support retainer. It is a deliberately focused service so the price stays approachable for smaller teams. Extended troubleshooting and clustered environments are quoted separately. If your needs grow, we can always talk about more.

Rock v19 recently shipped, and v20 with Rock AI Agents is on the horizon. Now is a great moment to get on a healthier update rhythm, whether you are behind on versions or just want a safety net going forward.
